Day 1: Ushuaia, Argentina

Arrive in Ushuaia, where you will be met by a representative of Aurora Expeditions and transferred with your fellow expeditioners to your assigned pre-voyage hotel. If you are already in Ushuaia, we ask you to make your way to your hotel. Check-in is from 3.00 pm. This afternoon, visit the Aurora Expeditions hospitality desk in the hotel lobby, between 3.00 pm and 7.00 pm, to collect your luggage tags, and confirm if you wish to join our Lake Escondido pre-embarkation tour tomorrow. Our team will confirm details regarding your embarkation day, answer any questions and provide you with information on where to dine or purchase last minute items.

Expeditioners arriving after 7.00 pm will find a welcome pack waiting for them at check-in. We ask you to visit our hospitality desk tomorrow between 8.00 am – 8.45 am.

 

The remainder of your time is at leisure. All meals today are at your own expense.

Your trip is a BIG investment. If you cannot afford to lose the money you have invested to travel, for whatever reason, Passport Rendezvous strongly recommends you consider travel insurance. We encourage you to do your due diligence by researching and finding the best plan for YOU.

*If you do not get travel insurance, you will be required to sign a waiver acknowledging the risks of not having travel insurance and consequences associated with that. (You usually have 14 days to purchase insurance. An email will be sent to you to confirm if you need a waiver or not.)

Travel Style:

Active Adventure

For Travelers who are comfortable with moderate to heavy walking or some uneven terrain.


These trips include a higher level of activity, with longer walking distances, possibly on uneven surfaces or through hilly areas. Ideal for those who want to explore off-the-beaten-path locations while staying active.


Example Activities: Hiking trails, walking tours through rugged terrain, or exploring larger cities by foot.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

​Payment schedule is as follows:

  • $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit due immediately to secure your spot processed by Passport Rendezvous Travel. 

 

  • $2500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit remainder  MUST BE PAID by March 27, 2025.

 

The remainder balance will be divided into monthly payments and sent via monthly invoice. The amount will vary depending on when you book your spot. See the monthly payment schedule on your invoice link.

CANCELLATION CHARGES (not including deposit)

  • 91 Days or more prior to departure: Payment minus deposit

  • 90 Days before departure or later: 100%

  • For Double Occupancy: If a person can no longer attend and can’t receive a refund, then they can possibly file a claim if it’s for a covered reason or if they have cancel for any reason coverage. (Travel insurance is very important!)

  • For Double Occupancy: If your roommate cancels, you may be responsible for finding a new roommate or be liable to pay a single supplement fee. If you need to pay a fee, it will be at the discretion of the tour operator.  You can file an insurance claim to possible get paid back the incremental cost which may be paid at the discretion of the insurance company if covered in your terms.
